Volunteer

At Passage Home, we’re only as strong as our supporters and our family keeps growing! In fact, we think we have the most diverse ‘crew’ around. Know what we credit as being our secret ingredient? Our mission! Everyone can get behind fighting poverty because it touches so many.

So if you’re looking to make a difference in Raleigh, you’ve come to the right place.

Our volunteers keep us going. Check out our various volunteer opportunities below.

After School Tutoring: tutor one of our after school youth ages 5-18. Tutoring hours are Monday and Thursday from 3:30pm-6pm during traditional calendar school year.

Youth Mentor: work one-on-one with a child in our youth programs to mentor, build relationships and be a positive influence in their lives.

Workforce Development: work with adults currently taking classes such as GED, BOOST and Culinary. Volunteer on Thursday’s 1pm-3pm for Job Club in the computer lab.

Youth Career Day: host a field trip at your company to provide a vocational experience for our aspiring youth.

Raleigh Safety Club and Community Center Maintenance: help us in our upkeep of the Safety Club through various construction projects throughout the year. The Safety Club is the hub of our youth development and many of our adult programs as well.

Administration: assist our office and staff with various administration tasks throughout the year.

Alpha Community Garden: Have a green thumb? Planting, harvesting, weeding, seeding and other garden tasks.

Special Events: help with our special events throughout the year for our clients and community members.

Didn’t find what you were looking for? No worries. We’ve got a ton of other opportunities just for you. Contact our Volunteer Coordinator Kori Godwin, 919-834-0666 x241.
