Weed & Seed
This federal initiative, sponsored by the U.S. Department of Justice, is a comprehensive community development program designed to "weed out" corrosive neighborhood elements (such as drug traffic and gun violence), and to help "seed" supportive influences such as prevention programs, education and neighborhood revitalization. Project Safe Neighborhoods
A partnership with the U.S. Attorneys office, local law enforcement and Passage Home aimed at enforcing firearm laws. Young, repeat offenders with a history of violence and gun possession are given opportunities to be contributing members of the community. Also promotes awareness of gun violence in schools.

VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance)
Free IRS and state income tax return preparation and processing on site at The Safety Club - Tuesdays 6 - 9 PM; Thursdays 6 - 9 PM; Saturdays 9 AM - 3 PM; thru April 15, 2007.

Lost Generation Task Force (affiliate program)
Located at The Safety Club, this affiliate of the Martin Luther King, Jr. Resource Center, encourages and promotes youth development and community safety. Contact Landon Adams 256-4259.
Southeast Raleigh Economic Literacy Center Providing vital consumer information, budget setting, credit counseling. Works in cooperation with Good Wor, promoting entrepreneurship and offering business skills training and other services to increase community economic literacy. Contact Tonia Winters 256-4257.
Kid's Café & Summer Day Camp

The Mustard Seed Thrift Store
All volunteer staff. Sales of clothing and household items benefit Passage Home's community programs. Located at 1504 New Bern Avenue, Raleigh 27601. Open Monday - Saturday 10 AM - 4 PM.
