Programs Overview
To us, "Development" means helping to effect positive change - from within.  It's hard to see at first.  "Community Development" means that we work "inside" the community - beginning with families and branching out to housing, job creation, crime reduction, safety - providing services which ensure lasting effect. 

Our programs help to spark positive community change, taking root in the lives of the people we serve.

  • Transitional Housing  affordable apartment units available to women with children for up to 24 months during program enrollment.

  • Community Development Programs services designed to meet neighborhood needs childcare, youth mentoring, vocational skills, neighborhood advocacy.

  • Permanent Housing housing provided to income-qualified Wake Co. residents; home buyer education and matching savings places.
