Letter from the CEO 
Jeanne Tedrow, CEO
Dear Friends,

Breaking the cycle of poverty and reducing homelessness in our community is a serious challenge. Government by itself and the private sector by itself working separately fall short. We believe this critical issue can only be met by seeking new and creative ways to form public-private partnerships where the best thinking and planning by both are engaged in the process of identifying solutions and developing strategies for change.

Passage Home has learned the value of creating collaborations and partnerships that build on our shared strengths and reduces the need for one organization to "do it all." We work to leverage financial resources along with volunteers and in-kind services to provide a "hand up and not a hand out" to those in need. Passage Home reaches out to collaborate whenever possible, building strategic alliances, with a shared vision and mission to help people lift themselves out of poverty.

In this environment, where so many are seeking foundation, corporate, community and individual support, Passage Home works on our strategy to build relationships to deliver programs that efficiently and effectively serve our community. Public-private partnerships help to make the best use of public dollars while leveraging private donations and support by community agencies and our faith communities. This is one of the ways that Passage Home is working to manage its growth responsibly in the face of this difficult economic climate.

An integrated, comprehensive approach to create jobs, provide on-the-job training, build affordable housing, and assist families and neighborhoods become more economically stable and viable are the ways that Passage Home works to break the cycle of poverty in our community. We invite you to read more about the success we have experienced over the past year as shared in this year's annual report. I invite you to join me on a tour of our housing projects and visit our community programs.

Passage Home is a bridging organization that enables companies, community agencies, both public and private, and our congregations - partners in faith, to reach out and touch those in need. Our lives are transformed and enriched. Those who give receive so much in return. Together we make a difference. You make a difference.
